Classroom Session Topics

  • The importance of following and abiding by the laws and regulations set out and enforced by Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health.
  • The responsibilities of the employer and employees. 
  • Students will be able to determine what hazardous products are being used in the workplace.
  • The responsibilities of the suppliers and how to obtain the current SDSs.
  • How to read labels, WHMIS pictograms and SDSs and how to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • How to develop safe work procedures and how to deal with emergencies.
  • How to handle, use and store the existing workplace chemicals safely.

Train the Trainer Course Includes

  • Instructor Training Manual.
  • USB with all the training files your trainer needs.
  • Employee Training Manuals, Certificate Templates and Test Booklets, ready to print for every course you run.
  • Nothing additional to purchase.
  • How to keep records and issue certificates.

Trainer Certification

  • Trainer certification does not expire.
  • It stays valid for as long as the trainer remains with the company they were certified for.
  • Workers trained by your in-house trainer renew their WHMIS certification every year.

Further Course Information

  • Training is available throughout Manitoba.
  • Train the Trainer Courses are scheduled as needed; please contact us to make arrangements.
  • Weekend, evening, and midnight courses are available to accommodate diverse schedules.
  • Upon successful completion, Province Wide Safety Training Ltd issues a diploma and wallet-sized certificate to the trainer.
  • Trainers receive ongoing support and contact with Province Wide Safety Training Ltd for any future needs or queries.
