  • For workers who operate mobile cranes with a rated capacity of 7,300 kg or less. Cranes over 7,300 kg require a certified crane operator.
  • Onsite training has a 4-person minimum charge; groups of 8 to 16 are booked as one session.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Which cranes does this course cover?

  • Truck-mounted, rough terrain, crawler, carry deck, mini compact crawler (spyder) and knuckle boom cranes with a rated capacity of 7,300 kg or less. Under section 23.3 of the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Regulation, cranes over 7,300 kg must be operated by a certified crane operator.

How long is the certification valid?

  • Three years. Retraining sooner is a good idea after an incident or near miss, or when the equipment or work conditions change.

Where does the training take place?

  • At your workplace, on the cranes your operators actually use. We travel to Winnipeg, Brandon, Steinbach, Thompson, Kenora and surrounding areas, and across Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and Eastern Saskatchewan.
