WINNIPEG AND SURROUNDING AREA

Online Theory + Hands-On Evaluation at Your Site

For equipment like forklifts and aerial lifts, Manitoba requires operators to be trained and competent on the equipment they actually use, so an online course alone is not enough. Your operators can complete the theory online on their own time, then a PWST instructor comes to your site to run the practical training and evaluation on your own equipment. Less time off the floor, and a complete record for every operator.

Available in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. Elsewhere, ask about our full onsite courses.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Online Course Questions

Is online safety training accepted in Manitoba?

  • Online courses are a good fit for knowledge-based topics like WHMIS, TDG and hazard awareness. For equipment such as forklifts and aerial lifts, workers must also be trained and evaluated hands-on on the equipment they use, so online theory should be paired with a practical evaluation. For WHMIS, employers also need to provide workplace-specific training on the products at their site.

Do workers get a certificate?

  • Yes. When a worker finishes a course, they can print a wallet-size certificate and a wall diploma right away.

Can I buy courses for my whole crew?

  • Yes. Employers can buy courses for several workers at once, assign them, and track progress and completion in one place. Workers can also buy courses on their own.

How long do the online courses take?

  • Most courses take between 25 minutes and a few hours, and workers go at their own pace. The time for each course is listed in the store.

Can PWST do the hands-on evaluation after the online course?

  • Yes, in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. Workers complete the theory online, then a PWST instructor evaluates them on your equipment at your site. Request a quote to set it up.

Do you offer onsite training instead?

  • Yes. PWST delivers instructor-led training at your workplace across Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and Eastern Saskatchewan. See our onsite courses or request a quote.
